Job Description:
The Medical Education Associate is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of Medical Education programs, with a strong emphasis on clinical lab operations and healthcare professional (HCP) learning experiences. This role ensures that labs, educational events, and Arthrex Chicago visits are well-organized, properly supported, and aligned with departmental goals. The Medical Education Associate manages logistics, communication, supply tracking, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality educational experiences for all participants.

The Medical Education Associate supports the Medical Education team by coordinating clinical labs, educational programs, and healthcare professional (HCP) visits. This role ensures the effective planning, execution, and follow-up of all Medical Education events, with a focus on lab coordination, administrative processes, and cross-functional communication. The Medical Education Associate reports to the Medical Education Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
​Represent Arthrex Chicago, the exclusive agency authorized to sell Arthrex products in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Arthrex is a world-class leader in the orthopedic industry.

Clinical Lab Coordination

Order, coordinate, and attend all clinical labs to ensure smooth execution.

Set up and break down lab environments, including equipment, instruments, biomaterials, and other supplies.

Track, order, and maintain inventory of lab supplies; monitor stock levels and collaborate with Arthrex and internal partners as needed.

Provide onsite operational support during labs, ensuring readiness, safety, and adherence to protocols.

Complete all lab-related administrative duties including scheduling, confirmations, communication, documentation, and follow-up.

Generate, maintain, and distribute lab reports and metrics for Medical Education leadership and local lab teams.
Medical Education Program & HCP Event/Lab Support

Manage pre-visit planning, onsite logistics, and post-visit follow-up for Medical Education–initiated HCP visits, including those involving lab components.

Serve as a single point of contact for Medical Education visit coordination, ensuring goals and learning objectives are met.

Collaborate with sales representatives, Medical Education faculty, and internal stakeholders to align objectives and finalize agendas.

Collect and present detailed information about visiting HCPs and administrators to prepare internal teams for meetings and educational activities.

Collect, analyze, and present visit metrics related to HCP education, engagement, and lab utilization.

Collect post-visit feedback and share summary insights with internal stakeholders on a monthly basis.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Maintain effective working relationships with Product Development, Meetings & Events, Innovation Hotel, Lab Operations, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth coordination.

Conduct regular check-ins with these teams to refine processes, improve collaboration, and support Medical Education program success.

Assist Medical Education marketing efforts by contributing to communication, promotion, and content preparation.

Support the HCP/A Relations team with educational offerings related to Healthcare Leadership and ASC‑X, including program updates and sales force education.

Assist with team projects, presentation preparation, and ad-hoc department needs.
Travel

Some travel may be required for sales or surgeon education events.

Education & Experience:

Education in a healthcare related field is preferred.

Experience in a healthcare related field is preferred, such as a Physician Assistant, Athletic Trainer, Nurse, Operating Room Technician, etc.

Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures.
